What is Microblading?
Microblading is the process of implanting color pigment beneath the service of the skin by means of sterile, disposable needles to produce the appearance of hair strokes to enhance the natural features of the face. Unlike tattoo inks, pigments are designed to gently fade over time. Fading is considered a positive occurrence as it allows the artist to make changes to color and shape over the years as client’s natural coloration and facial changes occur.

How Long will it take to heal?
With microblading, there is virtually no “down-time”. The implanted color will be slightly darker for the first 2-3 days until the top layer exfoliates resulting in softer more natural appearance of the brow. Healing is usually completed in 14 days.

Does it look different than my makeup?
Yes. For women who are used to wearing heavy brow makeup, it will appear much softer than what they are used to seeing with makeup. Many times, a brow make-under is better than a brow make-over. But darkening your new shape with brow powder will be a breeze now that you have a template to follow.

How long will it last?
After your initial visit and touch up visit: your brows will fade over time and will need a touch up every 12-18 months. Without a touch-up, the pigments will gradually fade away over the course of 3-5 years. Frequency of touch-ups depends on several factors including: the pigment color used (lighter colors fade faster), lifestyle (sun exposure), and if any chemical peels/acids/anti-aging and anti-acne products are used on the skin.

Does it hurt?
There is some discomfort, however the area being microbladed will be treated with a medical grade numbing cream to help keep you be as comfortable as possible throughout the procedure, plus trust me it’s totally worth it!

  • Pregnant or nursing.
  • Diabetic.
  • On blood thinners of any sort.
  • Viral infections and/or diseases.

  • Had Botox within the past two weeks. Schedule your appointment 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after Botox or fillers.
  • Off Accutane for less than a year.

Disclaimer: We cannot guarantee healed results as all skin types and general body chemistry will react to the process and pigments differently. For the best results, you must follow your pre-/post-care accordingly.

Appointments are available Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday between 10-4pm and Wednesday between 10-6. You are more than welcome to schedule a free 15 min consultation prior to your appointment but there is ample consultation time included in the actual Microblading appointment as well.

And lastly, we like to express to our clients that microblading will not always provide the instant gratification right after the first session! All skin will heal differently. This is unlike a tattoo in many ways, as the facial skin is much different than the skin everywhere else on the body. Microblading is a 2 appointment process that requires patience to build on over a series of sessions for lasting and beautiful results.
